 [Oils]
Bernard Beaudry is an Ottawa native who began exploring his creative side upon retiring to the Westport, Ontario area in 1987. His first artistic endeavor, "Iron Folk Art" sculptures, are still in great demand. Wood carving and wood-working are also art avenues he pursues but oil painting has become his passion. Encouraged by a talented and dedicated teacher in Florida, he began by winning Amateur Art contests in 1998, 2000 and 2001. He joined the Rideau Lakes Artists' Association (RLAA) and began displaying his paintings in galleries at Balderson, Brockville, and Parks Canada exhibits, two studio tours, and numerous art shows of the RLAA, including Perth's Annual Art-On-The-Lawn venue. He has recently become a member of the Arts Carleton Place database. His paintings are now in collections throughout Canada and the US.
