Stephanie L. Davison
Born on a small farm in rural Manitoba. Stephanie has always had a passion for all
animals and nature. She studied art through high school with the intention of getting a
degree in Advertising Art at college. Instead she found herself enrolled in Fine Arts at the
University of Manitoba. Almost ten years later, she has her own gallery near Chaffeys Lock
in the Rideau area which is shared with fellow artist and husband Stuart Davison.
Stephanie finds her inspiration from time spent at the local zoo, as well as her
beautiful surroundings. She spends many days out on tour capturing local wildlife and
scenery on film. It is her love for animals that has influenced her to take up pet portraiture.
She has done many commissions for people in Canada, the United States, as well as over
seas.
As a member of the Rideau Lakes Artist Association, Stephanie's work can also be
seen at the group's shows throughout the summer at various locations. She is also an
active participant of the Rideau Lakes Studio and Garden Tour held on the Canada Day
weekend.
Stephanie was also fortunate enough to have her work showcased at a gallery in her
husband's hometown in Norfolk, England. Her work can be found in private collections
across Canada, in the United States and England. Be sure to visit her website http://picsncrafts.com
