Valerie Spence Hounsell

Valerie is a self-taught, landscape painter working in acrylics. She has always had a love of the outdoors and had a strong appreciation for the natural world. As her artistic skills developed, she began to understand the role that the environment would play in her work.

Valerie has taken up kayaking as a means of exploring the countryside and waterways of South Eastern Ontario. Her most recent works have been inspired by her time on the water and every painting is created from her own personal experiences. She paints with the hope of capturing memorable moments and sharing her inspiration with others.
